BIOGRAPHY

Originally from Flint MI, I am one of the math teachers for the 8th grade team. I moved to the west side of the state for the opportunity to make young people excited about mathematics. I am a PROUD alumnus of Michigan State University. I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education with minors in mathematics and agriscience. In 2003, I also earned a master’s degree from MSU in Curriculum and Teaching.

As an only child, I enjoy a close relationship with extended family members. This is my seventh year teaching 8^th grade math at Steele, and I promise that this year will be better than ever. My goal for this year is to, “teach students to think critically about mathematics.”
