Mr. Scholl
Mr. Scholl, our current 8th grade science teacher, has a keen interest in ecology and the out of doors. After graduating from Hope College he became a fire fighter at Redwood National Park. For the next 15 years he taught high school science in the same remote north coast of California. His classes ranged from Oceanography to Agriculture. He also coached wrestling and soccer as well as track and cross-country. During this time, Mr. Scholl trained diligently towards his goal of qualifying for the Olympic trials marathon. For the past 15 years he has been living on the family farm as well as being employed by Muskegon Public Schools. His interests include: running, biking, swimming, organic farming, and photography. His goal in education is to spark his students’ interests in science, a subject that affects them constantly every day!
