This is my fourth year at Oakview as principal, although Oakview has been my “home” in the past. My own two daughters attended Oakview and I taught Reading Recovery here for three years.

I started teaching for Muskegon Public Schools in 1988. Since then I have taught 4^th and 5^th grades. I taught Reading Recovery and was a resource teacher for language arts and technology before becoming a principal. I was principal at Glenside Elementary for five years and for one year at both Glenside and Phillips Elementaries.

I have been married for almost 31 years and have two grown daughters. I also have one granddaughter who attends Oakview in the second grade.

I hope that you will find Oakview to be a great place to learn. I feel the members of my staff really care about kids and work very hard to help everyone learn.
