There is a strong correlation between physical activity and academic performance
-Students who are physically active and fit are likely to have stronger academic performance.
-Students whose time in P.E. or school based physical activity was increased, maintained or improved their grades and scores on standardized achievement tests, even though they received less classroom instructional time than students in control groups.

It is strongly suggested that students are physically active for 60 minutes daily. This can be broken into smaller segments throughout the day. If adolescents learn basic movement skills they are more likely to participate in organized physical activities such as basketball, football, tennis, gymnastics.
