Students are expected to read 15 minutes each day, at a minimum.   Students are strongly encouraged to read more than 15 minutes daily.  Students will also be asked to use a thinking maps and write a paragraph in their journal. Directions for journal writing vary, depending on the thinking map we are working on in class.  See your child's homework folder for the latest directions.

 Students will also be expected to read their poetry folder daily.            

 

 

If your child has not yet mastered basic addition and subtraction facts, 5-10 minutes of daily practice is suggested (mastery is 30 facts in 2 minutes or less.)                                                

 

 

Occasionally, students will be asked to complete a math, spelling, or writing assignment in addition to reading homework.
