Discipline
Our goal is that our classroom will be a safe and welcoming place, where learning is of the highest priority. We use team challenges to encourage responsibility toward others and much of our discipline involves these teams. If a child is having difficulties working on his/her team or disrupting the academic environment, logical consequences will be applied. Usually this involves loss of privileges or being sent to another classroom/office, with class time being made up later. At times a student may need to stay after school to make up time, depending on the circumstances. We will keep parents informed of all discipline issues through phone calls, email, and the Week In Review note home.
