The list below includes some of the field trips and activities that typically take place during the school year.

  • Hoffmaster State Park- The study of Michigan Dunes
  • Michigan Indian Culture Days- Lakeshore County Museum: students learn from Native Americans that live in our community about the Indian culture.
  • "The Big Lesson" at the Lakeshore County Museum- students visit the musuem daily for a week to learn about habitats through hands on studies.
  • Planitarium- at Muskegon Community College we study the stars and planets.
  • Frunenthal- Children's Opera
  • Read-A-Thon- Funderaiser for third grade field trips.  Students get pledges for every minute that they read.
  • Camp Pendalouan- We have a fun day at camp learning about Michigan History.  We participate in really lumberjack and Indian activities.
  • Bowling- Sherman Bowling Center end of the year celebration.
