Welcome to Nelson School!

My name is Pam Johnson and I am happy to be the Principal at  Nelson School and the Michigan School Readiness Supervisor for MPS. 

In addition to attending Muskegon Public Schools, I have been with the district for over twenty years.  I have been a Math & Science Specialist, General & Special EducationTeacher and a principal at McLauglin and Bluffton School.  I have a Masters in Early Childhood from GVSU and a Masters in Educational Leadership from WMU. 

I love working with children, teachers & parents and I feel very fortunate to be in education and with Muskegon Public Schools!  I encourage parents and members of the community to become involved with Nelson School.  We welcome volunteers in the classroom, with our backpack books, and game room!  We have a DEDICATED STAFF and a PTO that welcomes you!
