To be eligible for athletics at Muskegon High School, there are a few things you must know before tryouts begin.
First, unless you are an first-time, incoming freshman, you must have received credit in at least four (4) classes in the previous semester (or trimester) at MHS (or equivalent if you are a new transfer).
Second, to remain eligible during the season all students must currently be receiving credit in four (4) classes. Please consult the athletic handbook for further clarification on these rules, or if you are a transfer student, please visit the athletic office.
Furthermore, you will need to submit the following before making any squad:
- A current Physical Card – a current physical is one taken on or after April 15 of the current calendar year. This card can be obtained by download (below) or by visiting the athletic office.
- Payment of $5.00 (per school year) supplemental insurance fee. This is payable to the athletics secretary in the Redmond-Potter Building.
If there are any questions you have regarding pre-season responsibilities, or any other matter, please contact Ann Derouin, athletic secretary at (248) 720-2825.
