SPORTS ELIGIBILITY CHECK
WILL BE EVERY THURSDAY DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR
· You must be passing four classes to be eligible to participate in sports.
· Eligibility checks for grades are completed every week.
· In order for your assignments to be included in your grade, they must be turned in by the end of the day on the Wednesday of the eligibility check. Any work turned in after that time will not be included in your grade.
· If you are ineligible, your suspension will begin the NEXT WEEK MONDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

Want to own your own business? Ever had a million dollar idea? Check out Grand Valley State University’s Teen Entrepreneur Summer Academy June 21-23. Entrepreneurs are in the business of changing the world, and the Academy is an exciting place to start. Open to students entering 9th-12th grade, the Academy provides the hands-on experience needed to transform an idea into a business. The Academy also includes a pitch competition with cash prizes up to $400. Space is limited in GVSU’s Teen Entrepreneur Summer Academy, so apply online now at GVSU.edu/ENT. If you are a male who will be attending the UNiversity of Michigan, you may wish to apply for the Delta Upsilon Fraternity scholarship. Two scholarships worth $500 each will be awarded. Applications are available in the Guidance Office. You need not join any Greek society in order to be eligible. The deadline to apply is June 10,2010.
If you are a male student who will be attending the University of Michigan, you may wish to apply for one of two $500 scholarships offered by the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Applications are available in the Guidance Office and the deadline is June 15th. You are under no obligation to join a fraternity.
If you are uncertain that college is for you, a new site is offered at www.college.gov. This simply worded, engaging website provides information about applying to, attending, and graduating from college. It features first-person accounts of students who overcame challeges such as peer pressure, lack of family support, and financial barriers. A good follow-up is then www.FederalStudentAid.ed.gov to further explore ways of paying for college.
