The 21st Century Community Learning Center After School Program, is an enrichment program for children attending elementaries, middle, and high schools within Muskegon Public Schools, Holton Public Schools,  and Reeths- Puffer Schools.  The programs provide a safe environment,  personal academic assistance, and complimentary academic enrichment activities that promote life skills development. The programs value community service, and the betterment of our community as a whole. 

Cost? The programs are free of charge to your child. 

Sample of the  21st CCLC programs offerings: 

  • Academics: math, language arts, homework assistance, and tutoring.

  • Arts and Performance: dance, drama, drawing, choir, jazz, percussion, music and arts/crafts.

  • Family and Community: family activities, life skills, mentoring, service learning and scouts.

  • Recreation: aerobics, basketball, games, cooking, soccer, football, karate, gymnastics and swimming.

  • Substance Abuse/Violence Prevention: anger management, "character counts", conflict resolution, and lifeskills.

  • Technology and Computers: cyber learning, e-mail, internet, multi-media, radio, and lightspan.

Our Vision is to provide children and their families a safe, fun and challenging environment where learning and life skills are promoted through new experiences.

Muskegon Public School's after school and summer school programs are funded by the Michigan Department of Education's 21st Century grant, and the United Way of the Lakeshore.
