Head Start

Head Start is a FREE preschool program for 3- and 4-year-olds that meet federal guidelines. Head Start helps your child get an early boost in his/her education. Your child is prepared to enter kindergarten, both academically and socially.

Your child will spend 3 ½ hours (Monday through Thursday) in the morning or afternoon at Head Start. Stories, art, music, a meal and a snack will be included in your child’s preschool time. Family involvement is a big part of your child’s first step to a brighter future! For your convenience the program is available at Angell or Glenside School and transportation is provided.

ALL children receive:

• Individualized Teaching

• Health Services

• Dental Checks

• Parent Involvement

• Speech & Hearing Tests

• Social Services

• Services for Children with Special Needs

• Snacks & Meals

Our staff is highly trained, nurturing, caring, qualified and experienced. We encourage parental involvement and provide ongoing dialog between parent and staff.
