Welcome to our classroom!

 

   We are busy learning sentence structure, reading for meaning, and honing our mapping skills.  Ask your student to name some landforms for you.  They should know what a valley is, as well as the source of a river, a tributary, delta, mountain range, lake, sea, bay, peninsula, cape, and ocean.

 

  In Science we are begining a unit  on Forces and Motion.  This will include exploring what magnets can do, static electricity, electrons and protons.  

 

In Math, we are working on long division, which requires your child to know the multiplication and division math facts.  If not there yet, encourage them to keep practicing.  I have flash cards available.  Some students have taken them home, if you need some, please call me or write a note.
