Hello,
I am a native of Muskegon Heights, Michigan. I have four brothers and four sisters. I have been a part of the Muskegon Public Schools family since 2001. Prior to my current position, I served as: a classroom teacher and Literacy Coach at Marquette Elementary, and Instructional Specialist at Oavkview Elementary.
I earned my B.A. in English Language Arts & Literature from GVSU. After a few years of teaching I earned my M.A. in Educational Leadership from Cornerstone University. My plans are to begin a doctoral program in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Urban Education next fall.
My favorite hobby is reading! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, worshipping, strengthening my faith, and becoming more knowledgeable about God’s word at New Life Christian Center of Muskegon, and serving the community with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Nu Phi Omega Chapter. I have a passion for children and encouraging them to believe that they can become anything they want regardless of their current life circumstances.
I am the wife of Mr. Ryschard A. Laws. Ryschard and I have two beautiful children: Clayton & Chloe. My motto:
